Channellock, Inc. traces its origin to 1886, when blacksmith George B. DeArment began forging tools near Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania, before the operation moved to Meadville, Pennsylvania, in 1904. It is best known for its patented tongue-and-groove (Channellock) pliers, alongside wrenches and other hand tools. The company remains family-owned and continues to manufacture in Meadville.
