The wheel turns at 90 rpm in a water bath. At that speed the edge cannot get hot, so there is no risk of drawing the temper back the way a dry bench grinder does in seconds.
The real value is the jig system rather than the machine. Once a jig is set for an angle, every subsequent tool comes off matching. The twentieth chisel is identical to the first. For a shop maintaining a set of edge tools that repeatability is the whole argument.
Supplied with the straight-edge jig, the angle setter, honing compound and the leather stropping wheel. The specialist jigs for gouges, axes and turning tools are separate.

What is covered
Seven-year warranty on the machine when used in a non-industrial setting. Grindstone and leather wheel are consumables.
Limitations
Warranty covers defects in material and manufacture only. It does not cover normal wear, consumable items, corrosion, or damage caused by using a tool outside its stated capacity or for a purpose it is not designed for. Where a product page states a specific exclusion, that exclusion applies.
Making a claim
Contact us at support@exelprod.com or +1 (202) 899-9143 with your order number and a photograph of the fault. We handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf; you do not deal with them directly.

Dispatch

Carriers
We ship with Canada Post, UPS, Purolator. Delivery is free on orders over $149.00; below that a flat rate of $14.95 applies. Tracking is emailed when the label is created.
Returns
Unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days. Sharpening stones that have been wetted, abrasives that have been opened, and saw blades removed from their sleeve cannot be returned for hygiene and condition reasons unless faulty.
