Cabinetmaker's Rasp, 250 mm, Grain 11

Every tooth on this rasp was raised by hand with a punch, one at a time. That is where the price goes, and it is also why it cuts the way it does. Teeth set irregularly cannot line up into the parallel scratch tracks a machine-cut rasp leaves behind.

Grain 11 is a middle grade: fast enough to shape, fine enough that the surface afterwards needs only light work. Made in Saint-Juéry, where they have been forging rasps since 1856.

Lead times on Auriou are long and irregular because production is by hand. We quote 6–8 weeks and will tell you if it moves.

What is covered

Covered against manufacturing defect. Tooth wear in normal use is not covered.

Limitations

Warranty covers defects in material and manufacture only. It does not cover normal wear, consumable items, corrosion, or damage caused by using a tool outside its stated capacity or for a purpose it is not designed for. Where a product page states a specific exclusion, that exclusion applies.

Making a claim

Contact us at support@exelprod.com or +1 (202) 899-9143 with your order number and a photograph of the fault. We handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf; you do not deal with them directly.

Dispatch

In-stock items are dispatched within 1–2 business days of order. Orders placed before 14:00 ET on a business day are picked the same day. This item is available to order with a lead time of 6–8 weeks.

Carriers

We ship with Canada Post, UPS, Purolator. Delivery is free on orders over $149.00; below that a flat rate of $14.95 applies. Tracking is emailed when the label is created.

Returns

Unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days. Sharpening stones that have been wetted, abrasives that have been opened, and saw blades removed from their sleeve cannot be returned for hygiene and condition reasons unless faulty.
